There are a variety of different ways you can save money on your invitations and still have the wedding invitations of your dreams.

First, shop around. Each place will offer you a different price on the exact same wedding invitation. The Internet is a great place to look for inexpensive invitations. With all of the competition on the Internet, you will have a better chance of finding the invitation you want, at a considerable lower price. While shopping around, come up with an idea of a theme and style you want. This will help you narrow down your choices for retailers.

If you are looking to save money on your wedding invitations, consider going with a simpler design. Invitations that are more elaborate and come with all of the bells and whistles will cost a considerable amount more than ones that are more on the simple side. In reality, you can live without the bows on the invitations and still have the look and feel you want for your invites.

Another way to save a considerable amount of money on your wedding invitations is to make your own. Even if you do not consider yourself to be a crafty person, you can come up with ideas and inspirations from websites, craft stores and wedding magazines. You will want to keep in mind that the simpler the design of the invitation is, the easier it will be to reproduce the invitations on your own.

If you feel like you cannot come up with an idea on your own, there are still options that allow you to make your own invitations. You can purchase invitations kits from office supply stores, craft stores, online retailers and even some department stores. The kits can easily be personalized and printed off on your own computer. Before you know it, you will not only have an inexpensive invitation, you will have a one of a kind invite.

One last way to save money on your wedding invitations is to consider inviting less people. The fewer guests you invite, the less money you will save on wedding invitations. And in the long run, if you invite less people, you will also save money on other areas of your wedding as well.

I totally agree with all of these suggestions. BUT, whatever you do, it is very tacky NOT to put postage on the reply envelopes and screams cheap not thrifty!
